Founded as Ranney Refrigerator in Greenville, Michigan in 1892, the company built customized cooling products for home and commercial applications.

1930

By the late 1930's, refrigerators were a household necessity, and focus was shifted to refrigeration designed for the home consumer.

1978

In 1978 Ranney Refrigeration was sold, and the Northland brand was born.

1980

Northland developed and enhanced some of the earliest all-metal refrigerators.

2002

Northland introduced the world’s largest refrigerator/freezer combo that towered 72” in height.

2003

AGA Foodservice Group acquired Northland and the companies merged with several other brands to form AGA Marvel.

Today

Northland America remains a leading producer of undercounter refrigerators and ice machines for home bars and kitchens across the country.
